Signs You Are a Good Random
GOOD RANDOMGood Random Rec teammates are not always the highest scorers. They are the players whose decisions make five strangers feel organized.
You are probably a good random when:
- Teammates continue passing to you after a miss.
- You can contribute without leading the team in shots.
- You know who you are guarding before the possession begins.
- You move the ball before the defense recovers.
- You take open shots without forcing contested ones.
- You box out even when somebody else collects the rebound.
- You stay engaged when the team is behind.
- You can recognize when another player has the better matchup.
- You communicate in short, useful bursts.
- You do not use timeouts as emotional weapons.
- You make the extra pass when the rotation demands it.
- You can simplify your game when you are struggling.
- You do not punish new teammates for mistakes made by old teammates.
- You finish possessions on defense before leaking out.
- You make the team want to press “play next game.”
The best compliment in Random Rec is not “you carried.” It is “run it back.”
